An Overview of the Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Jeep Grand Cherokee-originally designed to replace the Jeep Cherokee-debuted in 1992, but that plan changed, and Jeep decided to keep both models as sales remained steady and the SUV market began to heat up. The first generation of the Jeep Grand Cherokee offered a larger frame with a focus on interior comfort and safety. In fact, it was the first SUV to offer a driver-side airbag.
